Es Baluard offers seasonal cuisine prepared mainly with local fish. Bream, shrimp/prawns, squid and typical fish of Cap de Creus are some products which, when the conditions permit, we offer. Also exquisite Cap de Creus scorpion fish are ideal for preparing fish stew, a typical dish of the region. Traditional, well liked rice dishes(excelent paellas): mixed, prepared with pork ribs, shrimp and crawfish or crab and rice with cuttlefish and squid. Homemade Desserts: Catalan cream, vanilla biscuit with hot chocolate, profiteroles, cheesecake or even candied figs with Catalan ricotta. Our wine list contains many local DO Empordà wines, you will also find many other Spanish wines from various regions. Our desire is to provide quality and simplicity with a total respect for local produce.
